Smart Energy Solutions
In this day and age, rising fossil fuel prices has brought about a surge in interest for smarter energy generation systems, which were not considered before, due to their bulkiness and relatively low energy output.
Today, these smart generation and conservation systems are becoming more and more efficient and cost effective.
We have solutions for running traditional Diesel engines on a mixture of Natural gas and Diesel, a solution that makes sense in countries with a plentiful, inexpensive natural gas supply.
Cogeneration, or CHP, allows you to harness the 78% energy, usually lost as heat, while converting Diesel fuel to power in an internal combustion engine. We can supply total solutions for these applications.
Hybrid power systems allow the use of a combination of fossil and renewable energy sources to be used seamlessly together to supply energy, and Regeneration, uses variable speed drives, or inverters to recuperate the energy from coasting electric motors, to power active loads, or to feed back into the utility supply.

Bifuel - Conversions
Modifying a standard diesel engine to run on a mixture of Diesel and Natural Gas or on pure Natural Gas.

The costs for the conversion could be between around USD 20000 and USD 30000. This includes all the mechanical parts (gas mixer, valves etc.) , all electronic devices and the gas street.
It sounds like a lot of money but lets do the maths:

A 250 kW engine requires 50 litre Diesel per hour and runs12 hour a day.
Diesel is USD 0,80 per Liter, the price for gas is 40% less (=USD 0.48 per m3).
If you do the calculation for one year in Diesel only mode the fuel costs  would be USD 175 000 (50l/h x 12 hours x 365 days x USD 0,80 per litre).
If we have a Diesel / Gas ratio of 30 / 70 we only need 30% of the Diesel which makes USD 52560 Â (15l/h x 12 hours x 365days x USD 0,80 per litre). The cost for gas will be USD 73584 Â (3m3/h x 12 hours x 365 days x USD 0,48 per m3).
The total fuel cost in dual fuel mode would be USD 126144.
You would save USD 48856 on fuel cost a year!
On bigger engines the saving on fuel costs would be
much higher!

Cogeneration (CHP)
An engine running on fossil fuel is only about 28% efficient, the remaining 72% of the energy is wasted as heat.

In a CHP system, we can use this heat energy to heat or cool a building, or as part of an industrial process, requiring heating or cooling. Com Ap Intelisys is CHP ready and can manage the whole process.

We can provide turn key retrofits or consultation services for the supply of a brand new system.

Hybrid Power Systems
Sources can be Diesel, Fuel Oil, Gas, Solar, Wind, Hydroelectric... Each source is connected to a smart control system, which accurately manages the amount of power drawn from each source, depending on factors such as; the time of day, the season, the ambient temperature... and combines (synchronises) the power to deliver a single output. Harnessing the sun's energy can save on an energy bill, especially in hot climates. Wind energy is typically more efficient than solar.

Regeneration
This is the practice of using a VFD to supply rectified DC when being motored, in order to feed power back into the grid. This process can save up to 40% of the energy used by a machine, set of cranes or elevators.
